Addi-data Driver

Addi-data

The Addi-Data boards are equipped with many protective features, such as short-circuits and overvoltage protection, optical isolation, input and output filters, etc. For Windows, Linux and for the most common programming languages like LabVIEW, Visual Basic, Delphi or C are supplied free of charge. ADDI-DATA drivers. The standard drivers are a combination of ioctl and Kernel API drivers. It is possible to use them from a kernel module or from the user level. ADDI-DATA offers ADDI-DATA included many of its boards in the comedi package. Samples are provided for each functionality. See the driver table below to know which boards are supported.

Windows device driver information for ADDI-DATA GmbH APCI-1032

This is an APCI board that must be inserted into a computer that is operating at 5V/32 PCI. This board is used for the measurement of electrical equipment and for the control and measurement of pursuant that have norm of EN 61010-1. All computers are required to meet the requirements of the EN 60950-1 55022 and IEC/CISPR. The computer should be compliant with IEC/CISPR 24 and EN 55024. The board requires proper installation, preferably by an expert due to the combination of external screw terminal panel that is compliant with IEC 60439-1 which is a switch box of EN 60439. The board should not be confused as a safety part (SRP) and the user should avoid using it for emergency stop functions. This will cause a misdirection of power thus causing the board to burn which in turn may cause the computer to crash.

Unless you update your drivers regularly you may face hardware performance issues.

To check your drivers you should manually verify every device on your system for driver updates

The user should avoid using the board in any atmosphere that might be explosive; this is due to the amount of electricity that the board handles. The user should not risk using the board at a low voltage at as the directive was put through at 2006/95/EC. Data transfer from the board occurs through shielded cables so as to avoid any static electricity traveling back to the board. The board is compatible only with a Microsoft Windows operating system only. It works with the versions 2000/ME/XP and VISTA. The board is generally used to generate and process digital signals through an input of 32 channels in 12v and 5v. the board comes with an external 24 volt supply that is used to supply power o the board its self all from the computer's power unit. The board has a metallic and plastic hood. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for Windows and ADDI-DATA GmbH APCI-1032 errors before installing any driver updates.

IntervalZero’s symmetric multiprocessing-enabled RTX transforms Microsoft Windows into a hard real-time operating system (RTOS), and is a key component of IntervalZero‘s vertically integrated RTX RTOS Platform.

ADDI-DATA, a long-time IntervalZero Partner, noted that because RTX supports multicore multiprocessing, users can perform several application tasks simultaneously on different processor cores. Also, because RTX supports Message Signalled Interrupts (MSI) it can offer better real-time ability on the PCI-Express boards.

Driver

Message Signalled Interrupts greatly reduce the interrupt latency and the CPU overhead involved in servicing interrupts, boosting general system performance as well as I/O responsiveness, both critical to embedded applications.

The MSI functionality increases the amount of the interrupts available per board – up to 32 interrupts. This solves the problem of sharing interrupts with other PC components which can cause conflicts when using real-time applications.

The following signal types can be used for real-time applications – digital, analog, counter and serial interfaces. ADDI-DATA said its boards are especially suited for industrial use and are robust, reliable and have lengthy product lifecycles to secure its customers investments.
