2D Datarecording was founded in 1993 by Dirk Debus and Rainer Diebold to support motorcycle racing with rugged and small data logging equipment We are specialists in ultra-compact, high-resolution data recording and measurement equipment ranging from sensors to analytic software.
The inhouse developed software package WinARace is divided into 3 main programs:

Furthermore the package contains a variety of smaller programs to enhance usability and suport the main programs:
- SpecView (creation of spec sheets to keep track of setups and mileage),
- CalcTool (recalculation of channels) and
- plugins as e.g. Matlab-Link (bidirectional data exchange between Matlab and 2D), videolink (linking of videos to data).
Our software is scaled in different license levels to offer maximum usability for professionals and quick startup for entry level users. All license levels are upgradable without a new installation by just entering a new license code.

Is it possible to upgrade the software to have more features available?The software that comes with the BMW Data Logger has a limited range of functions.
If you need more functionality, you can buy the regular version of our software.

Why does the USB stick tool recognize the stick, but doesn’t configure it when restoring?Asus laptops india. The USB stick must be FAT32 formatted.
Please insert the stick into the BMW logger and switch it on. The USB stick should then be initialized.

I’m getting the Message: “Found no 2D logging device! Registration not possible!”Windows is unable to install the drivers for the USB connection.
Please connect your D-air suit to your computer and open the Windows Device Manager. There should be a device marked as not working.
Try updateing the drivers and make Windows search online for the correct drivers. To do so, please click the Driver tab, click Update Driver and follow the instructions.
(Alternatively, you will find them under “Drivers” within the installation directory.).
After the driver installation the software will generate the licence codes automatically.
If this does not work, we offer support via Teamviewer Remote Desktop.
How do I obtain a licence and registration for my D-Air suit and the 2D Software?The license comes with the suit.
Once you have installed the software and connected your suit, the license is automatically registered.

How can I setup WinARace Analyzer to display each lap separately?Search for “GPS lap triggers and lap tables” in our tutorial video section.

Attention! Dashware is a 2D independent program, only 2D data can be exported and imported into Dashware.

Can I communicate with 2D Modules without buying a Licence key?Yes, that’s possible.

The download and use of Winit is free of charge.

How can I purchase a licence?Please use our You can get an overview of all available license levels here. Please refer to our Software Installation Guide. On page 5 you will find everything you need to be able to license the 2D software. Proper functioning of the logger is only guaranteed with USB sticks sold by 2D. Our software runs exclusively on current Microsoft Windows operating systems and is not compatible with macOS. To use 2D Software on your Mac, please install Windows on a Boot Camp partition.
